The Dagestan government and company “AGRICO” have signed an agreement about the implementation of a large agro production project

Opening the ceremony the prime minister of Dagestan on behalf of the President and the Dagestan government warmly welcomed the management of the agricultural investment company for their interest to the offers of the republic about the cooperation in creation joint enterprises for the growing, processing and storing agricultural products.

“In spite of its young age the company managed to show itself to good advantage in many Russian regions. As an agricultural republic Dagestan is extremely interested in the signing of this agreement, which supposes the implementation of the large project with the total volume of the investments more than 11 billion rubles”, he said.

The chairman of the government said that according to the project three high-tech complexes will be built in the Karabudakhkenskiy area of the republic. The first one will be dealing with the commodity processing, packing, storing and processing of fruit and vegetable production. The second one’s function is the receiving, slaughtering, processing of cattle and small ruminants, as well as recycling of production by-formulation of bone meal and fat processing. The third complex will be engaged in transportation and logistics of agricultural products. In addition a processing plant for rice grain with the elaboration of rice cereals and feed additives will be built in the Kizlyar area.

”I suppose there is not any necessity to explain how much Dagestan agricultural producers need such enterprises. Their appearance will give new work places to republic and stimulate agricultural sector of economics to increase volumes of production. In accordance with the growth of the profits of agro companies incomes to the republic budget will grow. The stages of the project and the terms of their implementations are described in detail in the agreement, the rights and responsibilities of the sides are discussed. We’ve got definite aims and tasks, which we must start to implement from today already”, Mahomet Abdulaev highlighted.

Making his speech the director of LLC “AGRICO” Vladimir Bovin mentioned, that the project can become the base, the engine of the development of all the agro production in Dagestan. “I’m sure that at all the stages of its implementation different difficulties will arise. We had that in all the regions of the country where we are working already. But I’m also convinced that in close cooperation with the authorities of the republic all these difficulties will be overcome”, he said.

Then the chairman of the Dagestan government Mahomet Abdulaev and the Director of LLC “AGRICO” Vladimir Bovin put their signatures under the agreement about cooperation.

After the ceremony Vladimir Bovin and Dagestan vice-president Murat Shikhsaidov (who is in charge of agribusiness in the national government) commented the event. They noted that according to the plan the implementation of the project signed today must finish in 2014, but life can make its adjustments.

“A lot depends on how soon national government places land for new production at disposal. But because of Dagestan is highly interested in this project even perhaps more than “AGRICO” itself we will try to solve this problem as soon as possible. The republic is able to produce lots of agricultural production, but faces the problems of its refining and marketing. Joint projects with agricultural investment company “AGRICO” will remove this barrier and give Dagestan new jobs”, stressed Murat Schikhsaidov.
